Beauveria bassiana is an entomopathogenic fungi naturally found in soils throughout the world. It acts as a parasite to a wide variety of arthropod species, causing white Muscardine disease and death. It is commonly use as a biological insecticide to control a wide range of insect pests. Some strains have been shown to be endophytes (able to live in plant tissue).
